Yoga also has exercises to stretch the muscles of the face. A yoga class focused on a series of faces with relaxation and breathing exercises to rejuvenate your face, without going through surgery and without contraindications.


And like any part of the body, muscles of the face also atrophy if not exercised. Therefore, facial yoga encourages us to apply some face yoga exercises to restore elasticity and firmness. Yoga is a type of little known in Europe but is already faithful in the Americas.

Bases and benefits of facial yoga:

Yoga uses facial gestures – smiles, grimaces, and etc. along with some massage on the face to get firmer and stronger. Thus, we reaffirm our features and disguise wrinkles that inevitably appear over time.

But if there is another strong point of facial yoga, like traditional yoga, breathing. A good breathing exercise helps you to relax and oxygenate the skin, so that the face gets a much more vital and feel better inside and out.

Next, we explain a series of exercises recommended to exercise parts of your face and rejuvenate your face and expression.

  • Vertical lines: Place the little finger, ring and middle of both hands on top of the forehead, right on the line where the hair begins. Then gets up and down the muscles of the forehead, accompanying this movement with your fingers. Repeat this ten times.
  • Eyebrows and eyelids: Inhale with your eyes open and head held high. As you exhale, lift all you can brows. With empty lungs, retains this position for five seconds. Repeat ten times.
  • Cheeks: Put your hands without the thumb on the cheeks, right at the junction of the jaw muscles. Pressing jaws contracted area. Inhale and exhale when you bring the lips, face and muscles well forward, while blocking the jaw muscles back with your hands.
  • Upper lip: Put your thumbs under the upper lip in the middle. When taking air you must be prepared for the exhalation, press your thumbs against the gums, while carrying forward the upper lip with your muscles. Repeat this exercise five times.
  • Chin: To not let it put you dewlap hands crossed on your chest, and so bring your chin up, as tight as possible. Once achieved this position, you turn your head back and forth, always keeping tension. Repeat the exercise ten times on each side.
